Emerson Endowment

Emerson’s purpose as a company is to bring engineering, innovation and manufacturing together to develop solutions for the world’s most important challenges. Our goal is to leave the world in a better, safer place each and every day.

At Emerson, we achieve success by developing industry-leading technology, investing in our people and facilities globally, and delivering results for our customers and shareholders. Our success is also measured by the positive impact we make on people, our communities and the world in which we live by putting our Corporate Values in Action.

We recognize our company and employees have an important role to play in contributing to the betterment of our communities and the broader society. We are committed to helping the communities where we operate thrive through our corporate philanthropy and employee volunteerism, with a special emphasis on Education, Health & Human Services, Culture & Arts, and Civic Needs.

Emerson is proud to partner with the McKinney Education Foundation to provide an endowed scholarship available to support McKinney Independent School District students as they pursue post-secondary education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields.

Today’s global manufacturing industry relies heavily on STEM skills – and its workforce is required to have more technical knowledge than ever before. To prepare the next generation for these careers, Emerson has an enhanced emphasis on promoting STEM, especially among women and minorities who are traditionally underrepresented in the engineering and manufacturing industries.

The Emerson Endowed Scholarship is a competitive scholarship awarded to students based on academic performance, demonstrated leadership, and extracurricular or work experience, as well as desire to pursue engineering or STEM related courses of study.
