Meet Our College Advisors

The McKinney Education Foundation Advisors are located on the three main high school campuses to provide McKinney ISD students with information and support to pursue a higher education. MEF Advisors encourage students to dream about and plan for college and guide parents through the process. Over the last seven years, MEF Advisors have helped McKinney graduates find and receive $106 million in scholarship funds!

The MEF Advisors program places higher education advisors in each McKinney high school. These advisors help hundreds of students and parents each year enroll in and find funds for college. These advisors:

  • Help students locate and apply for scholarships and financial aid

  • Assist students with essays for college admission and inform English teachers in the McKinney high schools about essay topics

  • Meet with parents to educate them about colleges and the college admissions process

  • Establish and maintain relationships with admissions and financial aid departments of colleges

  • Assist students with financial aid and FAFSA forms

Cindy Monogue

McKinney Boyd High School

Grand Rapids, Michigan is where Cindy calls home. However, she had lived in five different states before landing in McKinney. She enjoys movies, travel and going out to eat (as long as she can dodge bad drivers). She considers herself messy...in an organized way. Watching kids go to college where they really want is her proudest MEF moment.  Her bucket list is full of travel...travel...and more travel. She is married, has three awesome kids - and her new favorite thing is soaking in all the time she can with her grand baby.

Brandi Ribble 2.jpg

Brandi Ribble

McKinney High School

Brandi was raised in Dallas and is a graduate of the University of Arkansas (call the hogs). Being a first generation college graduate ranks in her top three life highlights. As outgoing as she might be, Brandi loves being at home with husband Jeff and Pickels, her Boston Terrier. A few of her favorite things include traveling (especially the beach), hiking, cooking and reading. She is not ashamed to admit she loves reality TV. If she could have any talent in the world, she would love to be a Polyglot. (don’t be ashamed if you have to Google that)
