The McKinney Education Foundation awarded $475,000 to the McKinney ISD Class of 2018. The Class of 2019 can find the application on this page beginning January 3, 2019.

Our Scholarship Ceremony is scheduled for May 10th, 6:30 pm at Christ Fellowship Church. Scholarships offered through the McKinney Education Foundation are donor-advised, which means donors provide criteria for our Scholarship Committee to follow when selecting recipients.

For more information on scholarships or applying for college, contact an MEF College Advisor located on each of the high school campuses or the MEF office at 469-302-6313.

Scholarship Application

MEF works with many donors throughout the McKinney community to offer scholarships to McKinney ISD students. By applying for the MEF Scholarship, students are applying for many scholarship opportunities with one application. Students are not awarded more than one competitive MEF Scholarship.

The only criteria is the student must be a McKinney ISD graduating senior. Early graduates are also eligible to apply. MEF Scholarship donors offer both academic and financial need scholarships.

Students who have been notified of full military scholarships or who have been awarded full athletic scholarships or any other full scholarships awarded by a college or university will be considered a low priority for scholarships awarded by the MEF Scholarship Committee.

Give a scholarship

If you or your organization would like to provide a scholarship for a graduate of McKinney ISD, contact the MEF office at 469-302-6312.

If you choose to offer your scholarship through MEF, we will do most of the work for you. The Scholarship Committee reviews and scores applications while the MEF staff notifies students and sends payments to students’ higher education institutions.

MEF Scholarship Committee

The MEF Scholarship Committee reviews each application and ranks them based on pre-determined criteria. Donors specify the criteria upon which each scholarship is awarded. Typically, criteria includes items such as academic standings, community involvement, intended field of study, and choice of college. Students who are employed shall be equally considered with students who are volunteering in the community.

If you have questions about scholarships or would like to participate with the MEF Scholarship Committee, please contact Ashley Sine (link to email:, 469-302-6312.
